Family travel

Family travel

An employee relocating with a spouse and two children, or a family flying home for a wedding: we arrange everyone on one itinerary and check the rules that apply to each age.

For bookings made through Rizwiz Enterprise. Airline rules and fees apply, and nothing is changed until you approve a written quote.

Airlines treat adults, children and infants differently. Infants usually travel on an adult's lap on a separate infant ticket, and there is a limit on how many infants can be on one flight. Children may pay a different fare and have their own baggage allowance. We check these rules for your chosen flights and explain them in the quote.

Seating families together depends on the fare and on seat availability. Where the airline charges for seat selection, we show that cost as a separate line and book it only if you approve.

For relocation trips arranged by an employer, tell us who approves the spend and whether the family's extra baggage is covered. Excess baggage is priced and sold by the airline under its own rules.

How it works

  1. List the travellers

Names as on ID, dates of birth for children and infants, and the route.

  2. Rules and options

We check child and infant fares, baggage allowances and seating for the options found.

  3. Quote and approval

The quote lists each traveller's fare and any seat or baggage extras separately.

  4. Booking arranged

Once approved and paid, we arrange the tickets and send one family itinerary.

Questions about this service

Does an infant need its own ticket?

Yes. Even when an infant sits on an adult's lap, airlines issue a separate infant ticket, usually at a reduced fare. We include it in the quote.

Can you make sure we sit together?

We can request adjacent seats and, where the airline charges, show the cost for approval. Final seat assignments are controlled by the airline.

My child turns two before the return flight. Does that matter?

It can. Many airlines price by the child's age on the date of each flight, so the return may need a child fare and seat. We check this when we quote.
